The core readers will be readers that value rock, pop and indie music, and the main readers will be the ones that have that type of music in their everyday lives. NME values the role that music plays as part of our lives, and talks about live music and recorded music, so that the core readers get a taste of everything going on. The name NME stands for national music express, and is aimed towards people that are aged 16-30. Judging by the style of the magazine ut us targeted at males mainly, The layout and style of the magazine is made so that it stands out and appeals to the target audience and the core readers, because this means that they will be more likely to buy the magazine.
