Representation is the way that in that institutions present people and the world. It's a mediated sense of reality. There is a triangular relationship between the producer, the media text and the audience.

Age
Gender
Race
Job
Sexuality
Social Class
Disability
We have to think about the following questions when analyzing representation:
Who or What is being represented?
What are they doing?
Why are they being represented that way?
